Pay to Pee on Ryanair?
Ryanair's rebellious CEO Michael O' Leary has stated on BBC television that his airline might introduce coin slots on the doors of the toilets on its Boeing 737s. Whether he was joking or not, he added to this that passengers would maybe have to pay one pound to use the toilet...
Was this just another publicity stunt to get his name in the papers and on websites? I mean, the very fact that you are reading this now proves that it works!
His following quote is worth mentioning though: "We're all about finding ways of raising discretionary revenue so we can keep lowering the cost of air travel." Right... so, how does charging for having a pee on board relate to lowering the cost of air travel? If anything, Ryanair is making it more expensive with all the extra charges passengers end up paying...
So the airline's new slogan could be "Pay to Pee on Ryanair" or maybe "A Pound for a Penny".
